    RETURN POLICY
     
    We offer a very simple and straightforward 30-day return policy on your purchases.  This way you can be confident and at ease when purchasing from us. If for any reason you are not satisfied with your purchase, you can return any item which is not custom made for you such as custom engraving or custom inscription.
     
    Please note our return policy is valid only for items which are returned in its original condition within 30days of the order date.  If our quality assurance department finds a returned item showing signs of wear and tear or those that have been altered, engraved, resized (by a jeweler other than GemsNY), or damaged in any way will not be accepted for return.  Also, items which are not packaged properly or uninsured will be refused receipt.
     
    Returns or Refunds
    If you aren't satisfied for any reasons, you can return any non-custom made item in its original condition for a refund or exchange. If you have any questions regarding processing your returns, please don't hesitate to contact us at returns@gemsny.com or (888) 436-7692.
    Resizes, Repairs, or Exchanges
    We can mount your diamond in our settings, resize your ring, or exchange your jewelry for another item.  Call to speak to one of our trained diamond and jewelry consultant.

    How to Prepare a Return
     

    If you would like to return an item please follow these few steps:

     
    1. Call Us For Return Authorization Code
      Please call us at (888) 436-7692 and we will provide you with a RA code.  Please enter this code on the return sticker and paste it on the outside of the box you will be returning.
       
    2. Things to put with your return
      Please put all the original packaging in the box along with the diamond certificate(the certificate has minimum $225 replacement value) and the appraisal. For security purposes, please do not put our full company name on the outside of the box.  For company name please write G.NY Inc.
       
    3. Take Insurance for Package and a return confirmation
      Please insure your package before returning back merchandise.  If the value of the goods is less than $500 on the invoice you can use any carrier and insure your package fully.  Please request a return receipt for confirmation that your package has reached our headquarters. 

    If the package value on the invoice is more than $500, please use only the US Postal Service Registered Mail.  Most other carriers will not insure a package for more than $500.  Please request a return receipt for confirmation that your package has reached our headquarters.
       
    4. Packaging Instructions
      Clearly print your name and address on the outside of the package and make sure to write the RA# right underneath your address.

      Be Careful:  Do not write “GemsNY” or any other jewelry, diamonds or luxury related words on the package as it invites thefts of the package.
     
    Return Terms & Conditions
     
    Our Gemstone and Diamond Jewelry should meet or exceed your expectations but if it doesn’t for whatever reason, you may return use back the product within our 30day return back policy on all our purchases.
     
    Our returns are very straight forward but are subject to certain conditions:
     
    1. Any package returned without a return authorization number will not be accepted for returns. The shipment will be refused and returned back to the sender.
       
    2. Items must be returned back to us within the due date specified on the invoice you received, which is basically 30days from the shipment date. Any item that is received after this time will not be accepted for returns.
       
    3. Items must be returned in original, unworn, undamaged conditions.  Goods that are altered in any way due to customer negligence or wear and tear will not be accepted for returns.
       
    4. For all jewelry items if the original tag that came with the item is removed, the item will not be accepted for return under any condition.
       
    5. For items which originally came with a certificate, when returning this item the original cert with the item must be returned back as well.  There is a $225 minimum replacement fees for all certificates and it will be deducted from the refund amount if the certificate is not returned.
       
    6. For all jewelry items the appraisals must be returned back with the item.  There is a flat $225 replacement fees and it will be deducted from the refund amount if the certificate is not returned.
       
    7. Items which have been purchased from Lifetime Trade-Up are not applicable for returns unless there is an error on our part.
       
     
    Additional Information
     
    1. All refunds will be made for the entire original purchase amount minus shipping and handling and insurance.  Refunds will be made in the same manner as the purchase.
       
    2. If an item is received and it doesn’t fit your ring size than please return us back the item within 30 days of the invoice date and we will have it resized for a $50 fee.  If the sizing was an error on our part we will do it free of charge.  Also any shipping costs that are associated with the resizing (including the original shipping charges and insurance) will be billed to the client. Resizing generally takes 5-7 business days.  Also since resizing can damage a setting (which varies from setting to setting), please contact GemsNY for more resizing information on your item at (888) 436-7692.
       
    3. All products from the closeout section cannot be refunded.
       
    4. Custom orders or personalized and engraved items cannot be refunded unless there is an error in behalf of GemsNY.
       
    5. If a shipped item is retuned back to us due to an error in shipping address entered by the customer, there will be an additional $30 fee that will be charged.  If the shipping address has to be changed after shipping than there will be a $20 fee that will be charged for the shipment. Any orders that are refused by the customer will be charged for the complete shipping and insurance associated with that shipment.
       
    6. The return time will be 30days from the shipment date and this due date can also be found in your invoice under ‘return expiration date’ heading.
       
    7. Returns generally take 5-7 business days for us to process from the receipt of the item.
