A spectacular diamond necklace worth about $12.5 million is to be auctioned at the grand Christie's Hong Kong’s Magnificent Jewels sale on May 28. The diamond pendant necklace features a marquise-cut purplish pink diamond suspending a 75.36-carat, D, internally flawless, type IIa briolette diamond.
This is a part of a range of stunning jewels that are highly anticipated in the show. About 250 jewels engraved with fine precious gems and intricately carved designs are for sale. Another gorgeous ornament that is being highlighted is an emerald and diamond necklace by Boucheron, circa 1950s, carrying eight emeralds, old European and cushion-cut diamonds, and baguette-cut diamonds. Also, a diamond and ruby ring by James W. Currens with a natural 8.88-carat center oval ruby, pear and marquise-cut diamonds, is a leading jewel on sale.
Reportedly, the Hong Kong auction will also feature jadeite and diamond jewelry, and pearl jewelry.
