Product Pricing and Availability
 

If there is a product listed on our site which is currently out of stock , please contact us and we will be able to guide you as to when that product will be back in stock. Sometimes, due to volume of the orders we receive, an item may become out of stock before we are able to post the changes to our site. If this scenario occurs, we will notify you personally so that we may help you find another item or let you know when that item will be back in stock.

 

It is sometimes the case that the data on our website may be inaccurate. While we make every effort to prevent these errors from occurring they may still occur. We reserve the right to correct any and all errors when they do occur and we do not honor inaccurate or erroneous prices. Our prices are also subject to change without notice. Whether it is a loose diamond or a gemstone ring, if there is something particular you are looking for and you can't locate it in our inventory, please give us a call and speak to a trained gemologist at (888) 436-7692 or email us at info@gemsny.com . In most cases we can accommodate most special orders according to your exact specifications.

 
Customer Orders
 

We welcome all custom orders and consider that our specialty. If there is a piece of jewelry that you like and we don't have it as part of our inventory, we would be more than happy to make a similar piece for you. We generally will be able to provide you an approximate cost within 24-48hours. Please Note: All sales on customer orders are final. We require at least one good picture of the item you would like us to produce. In order to fasten the process, please have a picture ready that you can email or mail to us before you contact us.

 
Fancy Colored Diamonds
 

We carry an extensive inventory of fancy colored diamonds. However, at this time we have not been able to put that inventory up on our website. In the unlikely event, if you find an exactly same item somewhere else for less, let us know about it. On most, if not all, cases we will match the price of our competitor.

 
View Your Loose Diamond or Gemstone Before It Is Set
 

We try to provide as much flexibility as possible to our customers. Thus, if you prefer, you can view your loose diamond or gemstone before it is set. Once you purchase your loosed diamond or gemstone, send it back to us and we will incorporate it into your ring or pendant.

 
Purchase Your Loose Diamond or Gemstone From us and Let us Set It Into Your Jewelry
 

If you already have a jewelry piece and would like to purchase a loose diamond or gemstone from us for that piece, we will set it for you! Please give us a call and speak to a trained gemologist at (888) 436-7692 or email us at info@gemsny.com and we will guide you as to how to send your jewelry piece to us.

However, in such a sale of our loose diamonds and gemstones, our refund policy would not be applicable since if you choose to return the loose diamond or gemstone than there is a chance it might cause minor damage to pull the piece out from your jewelry. All sales will be considered final.

 
Ring Size
 

If your GemsNY ring doesn't fit, we will resize it for you free of charge within 30days of its original shipment. Resizing generally takes 5-7 business days.

 
Payment Methods
 
We offer you many choices in terms of the way payments can be made:
  • Bank Wire Transfer - You can make payment through your bank and receive a 2% discount for bank transfers. We recommend this payment as you can get this additional discount.
  • Credit Cards - We accept almost all types of credit cards whether its American Express, Visa, MasterCard, or Discover Card.
  • Paypal - You can choose to pay with paypal as well.

Debit Card Policy
 
Banks treat debit cards differently than a credit card. A debit card displays a credit card logo much like a credit card, like AMEX or Visa, but a charge to your debit card uses funds directly from your bank account. The main difference is that your bank normally institutes a daily charge limit on your debit card. If the price of your order exceeds a daily limit set on your debit card we will notify you, as this will prohibit us from processing your order.
 

Possible alternatives to this are:

  • Place your order with wire transfer and receive 2% discount. A wire transfer is an easy process where you contact your bank to have them move your funds from your bank account to ours. We allow bank transfers on all size orders. Wire transfers works much like a debit card but it requires some direct communication with your with your bank to allow for a larger amount transaction. Please contact us and we will send you the easy instructions. Banks may take few days to transfer your funds.
  • Place your order with credit card. If you order before 3pm , your order will begin processing the same day.
  • Or simply call your bank and request a one-time waiver of the daily charge limit.
 
All Our Shipments are Insured
 

All our shipments are fully insured all the way to you. This means that during the entire transit time from the time your package leaves our premises to the time it arrives at your door steps and you sign it, it will be covered under insurance. For security purposes, ALL of our orders will require your signature, regardless of any signature waivers you have with the courier (which in most, if not all, cases will be DHL).

 
International Shipments
 

At this time, unfortunately, we don't take any orders from outside of USA

 
Saturday Delivery
 

If you are not available on weekdays to receive your order, or if you would like faster delivery and have your order be delivered on Saturday, we may be able to make such arrangements. DHL, Saturday Service, is available in most US cities and is subject o availability. If Saturday Service is not available in your area, we will ship your product with FedEx and can arrange for you to pick your package at the FedEx World Service Center nearest to your location. Alternate Shipping Addresses
 

We can ship your order to another location instead of the billing address on your credit card. However, as a security measure we require that this alternate shipping address be on file with your credit card company. This is a very important measure in protecting you from any fraudulent charges on your credit card.

 
We can keep your engagement ring a surprise
 

We understand that you may wish to keep your engagement ring purchase a surprise from your customer and thus can ship to an alternative address convenient to you. However, we require that this alternative shipping address be on file with your credit card company. This is a very important measure in protecting you from a fraudulent charges on your credit card.

 
All return merchandise must accompany the original certificate and appraisal
 

Most, if not all, of our products come with an appraisal and an original certificate. These certificates are created very carefully by trained gemologists from either a third party or from our laboratories. These reports are generally very lengthy and detailed oriented and thus are quite expensive to replace. Thus, we require that any merchandise that is returned back to us be returned with the original certificate and appraisal.

If both the original certificate and the appraisal report are not returned to us with the merchandise, than there will be a replacement fees charged.

 
Laser Inscriptions
 

We don't inscribe any of our diamonds. However, if you would like to inscribe your diamonds with a personal message we can certainly make such accommodations. Please contact a diamond consultant at (888) 436-7692 or info@gemsny.com and they will guide you further. We charge a nominal fee of $25 to inscribe your diamonds.

Any inscribed diamonds will not be covered under our return policy. All sales will be considered final.

 
Sales Tax
 
We collect sales tax only on orders shipped to addresses in New York State.
 
Return Policy
 

We want you to feel ultimate comfort when shopping with us. To prove that we stand behind our product, we offer 30-Day Returns Policy . If for any reason you are not satisfied with your purchase, simply return it back to us within 30days from the date of shipment for a full refund or an exchange. We do have few exceptions to this policy, please read our 30-Day Returns Policy , for further details.

 
Comparison Purchasing
 

In order to keep our prices low, we do not allow comparison shopping on most products. Comparison purchasing is where you buy several items with the intent of keeping only the one you like best and returning the remainder. This causes undue restocking and inventory overheads which can be very costly.

The only item we allow comparison shopping is on loose gemstones. This is done since we realize that it is very difficult to portray the exact color of a loose gemstone such as a ruby or a sapphire, from a web image. You may choose up to three products but we require you return us back the products you are not keeping within two weeks. If the item is not returned within two weeks of the shipment date, we will be required to charge 10% restocking fees for any of the items you don't keep. Unfortunately, we are required to charge these fees since we block our products from sales during the time they are with you.

One alternative, which will allow you to compare many products at one time, is to make an appointment to visit us at our headquarters in midtown New York . However, please make sure that you tell us beforehand which items you would be interested in viewing. Due to security we can only allow One person in our premises, no exceptions will be made.

 
Information on Our Web Site
 

We make every effort to ensure that our website information is as accurate and complete as possible. To provide greater detail of our products, we sometimes make our products appear smaller or larger than the actual size in our photographs. Also, since every computer monitor is set differently, size and color may vary slightly.

We try to provide as much information as possible regarding your prospective purchase so that you can see the beauty and shape of a particular item. In compliance with industry standards and FTC regulations, GemsNY states that carat total weight in all purchases may vary upto 0.05 carats from stated weight.

The measurements that we provide of our products are taken by us to the best of our ability. GemsNY is in no way to be held responsible for errors that were caused in measuring the weight or dimensions or any other form of measurement.

Also, for items containing multiple diamonds, we list the average grade and measurement for color, clarity, and carat weight. These averages are calculated by adding all grades or measurements that comprise the inventory with regard to that particular piece of merchandise, and determining the closest average.
