Formation of Natural Diamonds

Natural diamonds are the result of extremely high temperature and pressure acting on the carbon atoms deep inside the earth, almost 100 to 150 miles. These phenomenal forces lead to the highly compressed and unique crystalline structure of carbon atoms of diamonds. This is a very long process and it takes billions of years to form diamonds. Each diamond is unique because of the uniqueness of the geographic area where it is formed.
