A Range Of Stunning Famous Jewelry To Be On Display

Spectacular jewels worn by Hollywood legends and royalty across the world will be on display next month at the Grand Palais, Paris, from 4th December. Brought by Cartier these include the famous 9.65 x 9.59 cm brooch crafted in 1940 with stones as a flamingo's body set with calibrated diamonds, sapphire feathers, rubies and emeralds belonging to the Duchess of Windsor, beautiful collection from late Elizabeth Taylor, and a brooch created in 1944 after the Liberation of Paris, showing a freed bird made from gems in France's tricolor.

Also on display in this exquisite exhibition is the actress Grace Kelly’s emerald-cut 10.47 carat engagement ring given to her by Prince Rainier of Monaco, as well as actress Gloria Swanson’s diamond, platinum and rock crystal bracelets created in 1930 which she wore in Perfect Understanding and Sunset Boulevard.

A clip brooch and a pair of three-dimensional ear clips featuring tiger custom-designed for Barbara Hutton, heiress to the Woolworth stores - will also be seen in this Cartier exhibition which is expected to showcase 600 pieces of jewelry. Further, another unusual piece made for Mexican actress María Félix’s featuring two entwined reptiles made from gold inset with diamonds and emeralds and weighing more than 126 carats would also be displayed.

Designed by Louis Cartier in 1902 a diamond hair piece which Stella McCartney wore to the Met Ball in 2012 is also part of the beautiful and dazzling array of jewels to be exhibited in Paris.
