    Tsavorite is a calcium-aluminum or grossular species of garnet that gets its green hues, ranging from light to dark tones, from the traces of chromium and vanadium elements. Bridges, a British gemologist, in Tanzania and later in 1971 in Kenya. Later, small deposits of tsavorite stone were discovered in other parts of the world as well.
