| Laser Inscription |
To provide you added protection and for your peace of mind, we offer laser inscription for each gemstone we sell that is over $2,000 in value. This inscription works as a unique identifier. If your gemstone ever leaves your possession (i.e.. for cleaning or resizing) it can be easily traced to confirm your gemstone is still with you and the stone hasn't been switched.
Our service to inscribe gemstones under $2,000 in value is $35. Please note that this fee just covers the cost of laser inscribing the unique identifier onto the girdle of the gemstone, but does not cover the cost of updating the gemstone certificate with the laser inscription. If you require the certificate to be updated, you will incur an additional $100 charge for a total of $135. This second option currently only available for GIA or UGL certified stones. The inscription itself requires 5 business days and if you choose to have the certificate updated, that will require an additional 10 business days (because only GIA or UGL themselves can perform the update). |
